Ingredients:

  • 4 oz (113 g) ground turkey

  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional for binding)

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1 cup (150 g) zucchini noodles

  • 1/2 cup (120 g) marinara sauce


Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it.

  2. In a bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, and onion powder. Shape into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.

  3. While the meatballs cook, spiralize a zucchini or use store-bought zucchini noodles.

  4. Heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat, add zucchini noodles, and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender.

  5. Serve the zucchini noodles topped with turkey meatballs and marinara sauce.


Flavoring Options:

  1. Spicy Marinara Sauce: Add red pepper flakes and smoked paprika to marinara (~15 calories/tbsp).

  2. Fresh Basil Garnish: Sprinkle chopped basil on top for a fresh finish (0 calories).
