Ingredients:

  • 4 oz (113 g) ground turkey

  • 1/2 cup (120 g) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1/2 cup (120 g) diced tomatoes

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions:

  1. Heat a pot over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart, until browned.

  2. Add kidney beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

  3. Simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm.


Flavoring Options:

  1. Smoky Tomato Sauce: Add smoked paprika and chipotle powder (~10 calories/tbsp).
